"Horn Stand", which had been awarded both iF and reddot categories, was given the DESIGN PLUS award at Ambiente, Frankfurt, Germany this year too. The iF product design award 2011 was attended by 1,121 contestants from 43 countries with 2,756 products listed to compete fiercely. The evaluation criteria included design quality, finish, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, ergonomics, safety, brand value and universal design. A world’s well known design award, the German iF design award has operated for more than five decades since 1953. The host stated that every design from Taiwan was rich in utility and ingenuity.
Reddot award: it was a tough competition that 1,007 among 4,433 candidate products from 60 countries were given the product award 2011. Whereas Taiwan had scored 92, BONE landed, remarkably, two with its "Ninja Driver" and "Horn Stand". The “reddot award”, established by the known German design association, Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, has operated for over fifty years. At present it is the world’s biggest and best known cutting-edge event of industrial design that leads in the global trend of industrial design.
