Attraction 1: Yehliu Geopark and Yehliu Ocean World.

Yehliu Geopark can be considered one of the most representative tourist attractions along the North Coast. The unique geological landscapes here, such as the sea-eroded peculiar rocks, weathered rock formations, and sea trenches extending deep into the ocean, are favorites among many photographers. The internationally renowned sea-eroded wonders like the Queen's Head and the Candlestick Rock, which we read about in textbooks as children, seem like must-visit pilgrimage sites. Taking a closer look and appreciating them here will make you marvel at the tremendous power and magic of nature.

Yehliu Ocean World is Taiwan's first oceanarium with marine animal performances. Despite its long history, it still holds great charm and attracts a large number of visitors. It's perfect to visit together with Yehliu Geopark.

Attraction 2: Shallow Water Bay Scenic Area

Shanzhi's Shallow Water Bay Scenic Area, located in the North Coast, is one of the most popular beaches. With its crystal-clear blue waters and soft sandy beach, it's perfect for playing in the water and enjoying the waves. In addition to the beachside park where you can have fun in the water and sand, you can also ride a bicycle along the Shallow Water Bay Bicycle Boardwalk and feel the pleasant sea breeze. Attraction 3: Mysterious Coastline

The Mysterious Coastline is located in Jinshan, and it used to be a military-controlled area, thus not open to the public. It was once considered a hidden gem. It is recommended to set your navigation to "Shueiwei Fishing Port" as it will make it easier to find. First-time visitors may have difficulty finding the entrance, but by patiently looking for signs along the roadside, you can reach the entrance by going up the street next to the Coast Guard Administration.

The must-visit spot here is the "Yixian Tian" cave, where one can't help but marvel at the magnificent work of nature. Passing through the cave, you'll be greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view, as if stepping into another world. You'll also see huge rocks stacked layer upon layer, resembling the work of giants. The power of nature is truly incredible.
However, please remember that it's only accessible during low tide at the Mysterious Coastline. Make sure to time your visit carefully and prioritize safety. Don't leave disappointed by paying attention to the tide conditions!

Attraction 4: Shimen Cave

Shimen Cave is an ideal place to bring children for playing in the sand, splashing in the water, and observing the ecology. You can spot small fish, crabs, and hermit crabs in the area. The main attraction of Shimen Cave is the sea-eroded cave, also known as a sea arch. It is a cave formed by long-term erosion from seawater and weathering. Along the coastline, you'll find rocks, a sandy beach, and an arch bridge, making it a perfect backdrop for photos. There are also staircases that lead to a second-floor viewing platform, offering a broader and more stunning view.
